The life of the mind is under the microscope once again in the Comedy & Spoken Word corner of the festival. The Comedy Tent has always been a major attraction with a steady stream of Picnikers popping in for some comic relief courtesy of the very funniest in Irish and International comedians. It wouldn’t be Electric Picnic without the peals of laughter across the lawns of Stradbally.

The Spoken Word area, presents inspirational public conversations throughout the weekend with a diverse range of intriguing people. No subject is off limits…science, politics, economics, literature, the media and much more will be dissected and prodded by panels. Look forward also to readings, interviews, experiments, quizzes and a whole venue dedicated to Irish language shennanigans.
