Blonde Redhead are Kazu Makino and twin brothers Amedeo and Simone Pace Throughout their 17 year career, they have carved out a unique and ever shifting wistful pop sound. Grounded in Makino’s haunting vocals, their moody lyrics hover over bittersweet melodies and hypnotic rhythms.
New York based trio Blonde Redhead make their Electric Picnic début this year touring on the back of their new record ‘Penny Sparkle’. Their third release on 4AD Records saw the band return with a dramatic new, abundant sounding cosmos, which brings the trademark pop elegance of Blonde Redhead’s songs to the point. The band travelled between Stockholm and New York to record with the producer duo Van Rivers & The Subliminal Kid (Fever Ray, Glasser).
