Caitlin Rose
Caitlin Rose is a twenty one year old singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN, who is spending more time recreating the songs of our past than most artists twice her age are able to do. Her inspirations, from Bonnie Raitt to Linda Ronstadt, belied her late-‘80s birth. She debuted in February 2008 on the Theory 8 label with the beautiful Dead Flowers EP.
Her debut album Own Side Now followed in August 2010. With an adventurous collection of country-tinged pop and pure pop ballads, the record was released in the UK to top marks everywhere, from Uncut to Mojo and the NME. Live, she is another experience altogether: witty and deft, The Guardian recently scored her performance at London’s Slaughtered Lamb with 4/5, recalling her a “rare and prodigious talent”
