Q: Where and when is the Electric Picnic on?
A: Stradbally Hall, Stradbally village (15 mins from Portlaoise, Co. Laois – Ireland). Dates: Fri 31st Aug, 1st & 2nd September. Campsite opens 9am Friday 31st
Q: Are there age restrictions?
A: The festival is an Over 18 event, Photo ID must be presented on arrival if age is in question. However: Children aged 12 and under are permitted free of charge, no ticket required.
Q: Will there be Disabled facilites?
A: Yes there is a disabled campsite with disabled loos & showers as well as wheelchair platforms in front of the main stages. Disabled festival goers do not need to register or book any special tickets.

Q: I purchased a ticket online at www.ticketmaster.ie over 2 weeks ago and still haven’t received it, who should I talk to?
A: You need to contact Ticketmaster directly on Ph 0818 719300.
Q: Can I get a one day ticket?
A: There are day tickets available for Sunday only for EU99.50. Camping is not permitted with day ticket.
Q: What if I don’t want to camp, am I to be excluded from going to the Electric Picnic?
A: Of course not, we’d still love you to come to the festival even if you don’t want to camp. With a weekend ticket you are free to stay elsewhere and come and go as you please. Camping is free & optional. Day tickets are available on Sunday also for those who don't wish to camp.
Q: I’m bringing my 8 year old son, does he need a ticket?
A: No he doesn’t need a ticket. However it is important that you you register your son here: kidsregister
Q: I’ve lost my ticket, what can I do?
A: You need to contact Ticketmaster directly on Ph 0818 719300. Depending on how you purchased it they may be able to re-issue it.
Q: I’m going with my family in our Campervan and want to ensure I can get into the Family Campsite, what tickets should I get?
A: You need to purchase Family Tickets for the adults, and a Family Campervan for your Campervan.

A: Acts are announced continually throughout the summer so check the website for updates between now and September or subscribe to the newsletter to be amongst the first to be notified of the latest acts added to the bill.
Q: Will the running times for the different days be made available before the event?
A: Yes they will be posted on the website and mailed to subscribers in the week preceding the festival.
Q: Is it too late to enquire about my band performing at the festival?
A: We don't take submissions sorry.

Camping
Q: What facilities are there in the campsites?
A: There are toilets, hot showers, wash basins & water points available for campers. Locations will be clearly signposted. They can also be found on the sitemap which will be available online closer to the time, and in the festival information booklet which will be on sale at the Merchandise stand.
Q: I’d like to book a yurt hut or a tipi….how can I?
A: Go to alternativecampingoptions for full list of options and where to book them. (Ensure you have a festival ticket first.)
Q: I don’t fancy being kept up all night, is there anywhere quiet to camp?
A: Yes there is a Quiet Campsite. Check the location on the sitemap which is uploaded closer to the time, and follow the signposts.
Q: Will there be somewhere I can buy camping essentials at the festival?
A: Yes there will be a number of camping stalls for your camping needs, as well as campsite shops selling everything from plasters to milk.
Q: Can I park my car beside my tent?
A: Cars are not permitted into the campsites
Q: Can I bring a campervan?
Yes, you will need to purchase a Campervan Ticket. Note: Each occupant must also have a festival ticket. Note, ordinary commercial vans of any type will not be permitted so please do not purchase a Campervan ticket for anything other than a purpose built or adapted live-in vehicle. We would define this as having it’s own in-built kitchen facilities and toilet.
Q: What size space does a campervan ticket allow for?
A: You have a 30m2 slot to play with in total.
Q: Does everyone who wants to enter the Campervan area also need to buy a campervan ticket for themselves
A: No, only one campervan ticket is required per campervan, after that anyone traveling with it or using it just needs a standard weekend ticket.
Q: Can I park my car beside my tent?
A: No, vehicles aren’t permitted into any of the campsites or campervan parks for health & safety reasons.
Q: Can I bring a caravan?
A: Yes, you can park caravan in the campervan park. However once positioned you will need to unhitch and park your car in one of the car parks. Note: a campervan ticket will need to be purchased for caravan.
Q: Can I park a commercial style van (hiace, transit, etc) in the campervan park if I have a campervan ticket.
A: Sorry no, only proper purpose built or adapted live-in vehicles are be permitted.
Q: Can I bring a generator for my campervan?
A: You are permitted to bring a small diesel generator. Petrol generators are not permitted.
Q: Is there electric hook up for my campervan?
A: There is no electric hook up for campervans no
Q: Can I pitch a tent beside my campervan?
A: Tents cannot be pitched in the Campervan Park for health & safety reasons.

Q: I’m travelling from the UK – can you tell me best way of getting to the festival.
A: Best airport to fly into is Dublin Airport. www.dublincoach.ie have direct service from airport to Portlaoise where there is a festival shuttle service.
Q: I’m trying to find out what bus I can get to the festival?
A: There are official buses departing from Dublin, Cork, Galway, Sligo & Belfast. Check our section for more details. If you are travelling from other areas please check www.buseireann.ie or www.irishrail.ie for scheduled services to Portlaoise, which is about 15 minutes from the festival site.
Q: Will there be buses to the festival from the train station in Portlaoise?
A: Yes there will be a shuttle bus for every train that arrives. Tickets can be purchased on the bus.

A: Yes, ice will be available in the Campsite shop.
Q: Will there be a shop on site where I can purchase basic provisions, ie. bread, milk, toilet roll?
A: Yes, the Campsite shops will sell all basic provisions.

A: There are plenty of food stalls throughout the site serving all types of food, eg. noodles, thai, falafel, burgers, vegetarian food, Mexican, seafood and many more
