HEALTH
If epileptic drumming, eerie rock noises, and rushes of surreal vocals are what you crave, then LA noise-rockers HEALTH are just what the doctor ordered. In 2007 the band would gain notoriety after Crystal Castles released a re-working of the bands track Crimewave. The single was written for their self-entitled debut album HEALTH which was recorded at ‘The Smell’ located in downtown Los Angles. Their DIY punk ethos was evident throughout their raucous, succinct and frenzied début.
2008 would see the band hit the road with Nine Inch Nails and release the remix album Health//Disco. 2009’s Get Color retained Health’s edge while at the same time feeling more accessible. Their last album DISCO2 lifted elements from Get Color and welcomed the likes of Gold Panda, Crystal Castles and Small Black back into the remix party. Get those dancing wellies ready!
