Mundy
Mundy first came to international attention in 1995 when he toured with Alanis Morisette on her Jagged Little Pill tour. He released his debut album Jellylegs in 1996 which included the song To You I Bestow, which featured on the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann's film adaptation Romeo + Juliet. Mundy's second album, 24 Star Hotel, proved even more popular than his debut and really put the Birr singer on the map as one of the country's finest songwriters and live performers, spanning the massive anthems, Mexico and July. It went on to sell over 25,000 copies in Ireland alone.
Strawberry Blood, Mundy’s fourth studio album is possibly his most accomplished to date. The result is a beautiful and uplifting album that’s a true tonic for the times. Mundy’s live performances are nothing short exhilarating. With his powerhouse live band, Munday powers his way through his best-known and most loved material, from the emotionally delicate Linchpin, to the raucous singalong of Mexico. Everyone sing "July-ly-ly-ly-ly OH July"
