Santi White, now known as Santigold, has been working in the music scene for a while now. She went to college at Wesleyan University, majoring in Music, and also worked for Epic Records as an A & R rep before deciding to focus on writing and producing music for herself and others. And we are all the better for it. She burst into our lives in 2008 with her eponymous début album “Santogold” and stopped by Stradbally for a sparkly ska and dub-tinged pop performance we will never forget..

The album was widely praised for its genre-defying sound and instantly memorable melodies and was on the best of 2008 lists across the globe. Many artists championed the album and collaborated with her including Jay-Z, David Byrne, Major Lazer, Beastie Boys and others. Santigold is currently at work on her highly anticipated new album which is due out in 2011. We are pleased to welcome Santigold back to Stradbally once again.
